This is the year of the Olympics, and where we go across country (off road) for two rides, finishing with the last ride to Poole and Christmas in Cheddar.
With some 400 castles in Wales (of which over 100 are still standing) and hundreds more in England and Scotland, I made a small homage to visit some.
The Trans Cambrian trail is epic 100 mile route across the remote hills and moorland of central Wales, it’s predominantly off road starting from the English border town of Knighton terminating near Aberystwyth.
I was going to cycle or walk as much of the old disused Waverly railway line that was as physically possible, but not without some nasty surprises.
The second ride to Barry, and it’s amazing how much you miss first time around, it was like a totally different ride.
Without distracting fractures or emotional issues in 2016, we rode to Poole again, but this was the last time to this beautiful seaside town.
It was that time of year again where we did a Christmas night ride. We were going to ride the Strawberry line starting at Yatton and finishing at Cheddar.
